Schwarze Ribisel

The flavorful, sweet and sour black currant is part of the gooseberry family. The southern regions of Styria (Austria) are home to our black currant. The hand-picked, sorted and cleaned berries are turned into a mash immediately at harvest.

After carefully distilling the naturally fermented, additive-free berry mash twice, we store the precious middle cut in open glass balloons for a minimum of five years. Over time, it matures and becomes a multi-layer, compact and well-balanced brandy bursting with black currant flavors.   Details (PDF 500 Kb) >
