Black Elderberry
Schwarzer Holunder

Black elderberry is one of the most commonly found bushes in Central Europe. The fresh and fruity scents of its white blossoms are unmistakable in early summer. These blossoms turn into red and later black, shiny berries with burgundy red juice.

Our black elderberries are cultivated in Lower Austria, where the perfectly ripe and healthy berries are hand-picked and turned into mash immediately at harvest. After naturally fermenting, we carefully distil the berry mash twice in our copper pot stills.

The precious middle cut then matures in open glass balloons for a minimum of eight years. Our black elderberry brandy is lively, aromatic and smooth with a touch of chocolate.
