“Wachau” is one of Austria’s most popular wine and fruit cultivation regions. It is home to the famous Wachau apricot which is the most precious of its kind.

Our trusted apricot farmers in the Wachau never pick a fruit. Instead, they harvest the apricots when they have ripened to perfection. It is at this point they drop from the tree, when they are yellowish-orange with a red cheek and juicy all the way to the pit.

That is when the apricots burst with their typical full-bodied flavors – essential for the production of our first-class apricot fruit brandy.

The 2005 production is one of the finest vintages of the last decade. The apricots ripened to perfection and developed finest authentic fruit flavors, thanks to optimum weather and harvest conditions. We would like to describe it as follows: Explicit and fruity nose of freshly-baked apricot cake. Juicy, pronounced and sweet apricot flavors. Palate shows bold fruit character, mature and jam-like fruitiness. Very long finish. Pure enjoyment.

Vintage 2004

The Gravenstein apple is a juicy, highly aromatic table apple of outstanding quality. Our Gravenstein apples come from the south-western regions of Styria (Austria), where the climatic conditions are perfect. With its combination of warm days and cool nights, the summer of 2004 was ideal for this apple to develop its gentle, fruity taste.

We made multiple passes through the orchard picking by hand to ensure that every apple remained on the tree until perfectly ripe. At the end of each day, the apples were then mashed and fermented on site to ensure absolute freshness.

Twice distilled, our Gravensteiner Distiller’s Reserve was left to mature for 15 years in open glass balloons. It is during this maturation process that the fine taste and strong alcohol merged to create a delicious harmony of intensity and smoothness.

Gravensteiner Distiller’s Reserve 2004 – an outstanding vintage with an extraordinary character. A typical nose, clear with fine fruity notes. Mellow yet intense on the palate, offering a smooth sweetness with an aromatic body, perfect ripeness with gentle texture and a wonderfully long finish.

Vintage 2003

This intensely aromatic wine and table grape is among the oldest cultivated grape varieties. Our Muscat grapes come from the Austrian region of Burgenland, where in 2003 growing conditions were perfect. Harvested carefully by hand at peak ripeness, the grapes were able to fully develop their wonderfully bouquet-rich and flowery aromas with a taste mildly reminiscent of nutmeg. These are the flavours which make our Muscat Grape Distiller’s Reserve truly outstanding.

The 100% naturally fermented grape mash was then twice distilled to extract the precious “heart”. This raw distillate was then left to mature for over 15 years in an open glass balloon. It was during this maturation process that the concentrated fruit aromas and strong alcohol combined to form a delicious harmony of intensity and smoothness.

The Muscat Grape Distiller’s Reserve 2003 – an outstanding vintage with an extraordinary character. Intensely fruity in the nose, with a smooth structure and slightly floral notes. Rich and mature on the palate, offering a finely balanced sweetness with aromatic accents. Full-bodied and highly elegant, culminating in a strong, long-lasting finish.
