Our raspberries grow naturally in the wilds of the Carpathian forests, where they are harvested and sorted by hand once the small red berries rich in aroma and flavor have ripened to perfection.

Never frozen, pasteurized or pureed, only fresh and flawless berries are processed in our distillery to ensure that none of the rich, intense flavor is lost before distilling.

Because of the naturally low levels of sugar in wild raspberries, we need up to 60kg (130 pounds) of fruit to produce just one liter of brandy. Unlike many other raspberry spirits, our brandy is made from pure fruit only – we never add any sugar or alcohol to increase the yield. The result is wild raspberry at its best!

Rowanberry brandy holds a special place in Tyrolean culture, where it is highly regarded for its bitter almond flavors and soothing effect on the stomach.

For our fruit brandy we only use completely untreated rowanberries from the wilds of southern Finland, where the harsh climate provides ideal growing conditions.

Immediately after harvest the berries are electronically scanned and sorted to ensure that only clean and fully ripe fruit is fermented. We use up to 80kg (175 pounds) of wild rowanberries to produce just one liter of this precious fruit brandy. The mature distillate is both strong and smooth, combining bitter almond flavors and marzipan flavors on the palate with a delicately sweet finish.

This fruit brandy is made from the shiny black berries of the elderberry bush. Spirits made from these berries are a traditional Tyrolean specialty treasured for their beneficial health effects.

Our black elderberries are cultivated in Lower Austria, where they grow naturally under ideal conditions without the use of any pesticides. The perfectly ripe berries are hand-picked and turned into mash immediately at harvest. Only then are they transported to our distillery.

One liter of fruit brandy requires up to 55kg (120 pounds) of berries, as the naturally low sugar of the black elderberry content limits the amount of alcohol that can be produced. Over time the distillate matures into a fine, multi-layered fruit brandy full of smooth, rich and aromatic elderberry flavors with a hint of dark chocolate.

The sloe plum is a genus of tree directly related to the plum family. When fall comes, this thorny bush of medium size produces small, round, dark blue-to-black stone fruits. 

Our sloe plums grow in the wilds of the Carpathian mountains. Their sweet, mild flavor of bitter almond, plum and fine cherry only fully develops with the first frosts of the season, so until then our growers patiently watch and wait.

The sloe plums are then harvested by hand and transported fresh – never frozen – to our distillery, where they are processed immediately. This is the only way of maintaining the fine flavor of the fresh fruit in all its rich complexity.

We need up to 100kg (220 pounds) of plums to produce just one liter of this precious fruit brandy, because the sloe plum’s naturally low sugar content limits the amount of alcohol that can be generated. The result, however, is certainly worth the effort: a rare distillate with fine bitter almond flavors and a hint of fruity plum.

Unsere Schwarze Ribisel, auch bekannt als Schwarze Johannisbeere, wird aus drei erlesenen Sorten gebrannt, welche ursprünglich in Tirol beheimatet waren.

Die besseren klimatischen Verhältnisse in der Steiermark führten jedoch dazu, dass wir unsere Sträucher mit der Zeit behutsam dorthin verpflanzten. Die angenehm aromatischen, süßsäuerlichen schwarzen Beeren mit Fruchtreife Anfang Juli gedeihen dort in ihrer schönsten Form.

Unmittelbar nach der Ernte nochmals nach strengen Kriterien handverlesen, verarbeiten wir die Früchte innerhalb weniger Stunden direkt vor Ort. Für einen Liter dieses anspruchsvollen Brandes benötigen wir bis zu 30kg Beeren. Während der Reifezeit verwandelt sich der anfangs junge Brand in einen fruchtbetonten, hochkomplexen, edlen Tropfen.

Our Red Williams pear originates from the sunny regions of western Styria (Austria). A special variety of the classic Williams pear, it has a reddish skin and is considered one of the finest pears available.

Each pear is left to ripen to perfection on the tree. That is when the fruits release their typical full-bodied flavors which later give our fruit brandy its nuanced taste. In order to pick each pear when perfectly ripe, harvesting even a small quantity can often take up to four weeks.

Sorted by hand according to strict criteria, the pears are mashed immediately at harvest ready for fermentation. Only then are they transported to our distillery to be distilled and left to mature.

The finished brandy is bursting with juicy, bold and authentic Williams pear flavors.

The beautiful region of Piedmont in northern Italy is home to this delicate and rare fruit. Our variety of wild plum, commonly known as the Ramassin plum, can be found only in this terroir famous for its exquisite wines and truffles. Each olive-sized fruit has a purple-reddish color and a fine, rich flavor.

In Saluzzo, west of Barolo, our farmer cultivates these precious plums on less than one hectare of land. They are left to ripen to perfection on the tree until they fall into nets set up below to catch them. Collected, sorted and cleaned by hand each day, they provide the outstanding quality required for a fine fruit brandy.

The 100% natural mash is twice distilled in our copper pot stills according to old Tyrolean tradition. The precious fruit brandy is then left to mature in open glass balloons for a minimum of eight years. Over time the weight and strength of the alcohol lessens, enabling the palate to benefit from exquisite wild plum aromas with a fine balance of fruit and pit.

Unsere Orangen sind in Sizilien beheimatet. Dort genießen sie ein ideales Klima und gedeihen – ohne jede Behandlung mit Spritzmitteln –  bis zum idealen Erntezeitpunkt.

Dann zeichnen sie sich durch ein saftiges und wohlschmeckendes Fruchtfleisch mit einem optimalen Verhältnis zwischen Zucker und Säure aus. Die feine Schale enthält wertvolle ätherische Öle sowie zarte Bitterstoffe.  

Die frischen, nochmals nach strengen Kriterien sortierten Orangen werden umgehend zu uns nach Fritzens transportiert, wo wir die ganzen Früchte verarbeiten. Denn nur so entsteht später die unverwechselbare Harmonie aus frischen Frucht- und leicht herben, aus der Schale gewonnenen Zestenaromen.

Our Gewürztraminer vines grow on the best sites in the Austrian region of Burgenland, where they produce small quantities of outstanding grapes characterized by their reddish color and intense flavor.

The grapes are harvested at the point of perfect ripeness before being transported to the Rochelt distillery to be mashed, fermented and distilled. In contrast to Italian Grappa, we mash the full grapes without vine or stem for fermentation, following an old Tyrolean tradition.

This fine brandy is a rare delicacy full of fruity-aromatic grape flavors, rose-petal aromas and a zesty taste on the palate.
